It has been a while...and I promise I've been active enough to warrant a step away. I hope. So if you've followed my calendar in previous months you would know about my performances - but outside of this:
Fundraising events for the Black Collar Creative Fund (A TT Based non profit aimed at supporting creative artists in accessing funds for putting on exhibits and concerts)
Singing with UWI Arts Chorale (which remains such a great stress and anxiety valve)
Editing some music for friends as well as helping one to get their work to several church choirs in Canada for performance in the Church calendar.
slogging through the Masters programme that may get the better of me.
started a series of readings (I guess a sort of video blog) of recordings of my presenting readings that have shaped my journey as a Caribbean thinker, doer and person on the whole - if you want to check it out:
Been trying to give myself some grace this year. Now officially year since leaving the Music Directorship of the Lydians, I have processed the time and many roles I have happily served over the decade of my involvement. Time marches on, and may all go well.
Cuba - The TRANSCULTURA credited course and cultural exchange was such an amazing experience. between the Music school, national Dance school, the trips to the museums or seeing the National Ballet live...whew I am so grateful for the experience. the Ballet on Bizet's Carmen was a particular highlight. BRAVA on their 75th anniversary
...There's a good deal more, and maybe I will add more, but for now, I know the main vein of this blog has been reflections and ruminations.
And know, for those in the ether who follow up, I am happy to hear from you.
Take care of each other!
